Indy came to our home as the second of our Border Collie girls – she was born on 27.10.2010. Both her parents are great agility dogs, Didi (Allymoon X’tremlynice) has gained several fair results in the National Slovene Championship and her father Orio (Orio My Racy Fellow vom Beutenhof) is a superior, internationally renown agility dog, member of the Swiss National Team & participant of international agility championships (European Open, Border Collie Classic), of excellent working abilities and at the same time with a very nice character.
And which are the characteristics that our Indy inherited from her parents? Undoubtedly these are vigour, suppleness and explosiveness. Already as a puppy she showed outstanding physical abilities, speed, and hyperactivity – she needed continuous mental and physical job, otherwise she found it herself. Agility was thus the most logical choice for her. In her spare time she also does frisbee, tricks, sheep herding and obdience. I would describe her as an ever smiling dog of extremely positive energy, her main goal being to make happy each and every member of her pack. But when we start agility training, she becomes totally focused on the work and jumps – she has no more time for cuddling! She is very fast and she works with great enthusiasm. With the second race she already won 1st place and passed the first qualification for category A2! Her biggest achievement so far is the title of Team Vice-Champion at International Border Collie Championship in agility – Border Collie Classic 2015 in Luxembourg.
Indy is a bitch of coherent construction, fair proportions and athletic built, enabling her extreme versatility. She is about 50 cm heigh and weighs 15 kg. She is of blue merle colour, has a regular position and posture of tail and ears, perfect teeth and jaws with scissor-like bite. All the above stated and also other characteristics resulted in excellent breeding certification A. Her specialty is her blue and brown eyes – each of them being half blue and half brown, that charm everyone!
She has a character of an extremely passionate and self-confident bitch, always having everything under control – reserved towards strangers at home teritory, but when she sees that the guest is welcome, she shows a strong wish to play and cuddle! Then she charms just everyone, searching a contact with man and with her positive attitude and playfulness she really knows how to win affection! She is tolerant towards children, dogs and other home pets in case they are not intrusive.
Indy is an extremely playful dog and a retriever by nature; her wish to cooperate is so strong that in case you do not make her busy, she fetches things she considers to be suitable for play by herself – tree leaves, cobs, rods, laundry clamps, socks… her imagination really has no limits! In addition, she has a very high prey drive and truly enjoys the tug-of-war games – hanging on a pull toy is one of her favourite funs! Otherwise her most favourable toys are balls and of course frisbee – when she is catching them, she makes amazing jumps because she has a really good take off!
On walks her herding instinct shows to be very strong – if you do not make her busy, there is no better fun than herding and focusing her best Border Collie friend Molly! In summer her favourite fun is competing with Molly in jumping from the shore to sea and in winter wild running over fresh snow – she thus loves all seasons and she always finds suitable fun and spicing of walks and trips!
Indy also experienced sheep herding and showed good herding instinct and potential for work. In 2015 she also became a model for presentation of new products of one of the biggest producers of dog accessories – finnish Hurtta and she turned out to be a great partner for commercial shooting – she could easily work in all kind of enviorments and circumstances, without any trouble!

What specially thrills me with Indy is undoubtedly her speed, explosiveness, suppleness and readiness for work and wish to cooperate in any situation; at the same time she is very calm and focused, she shows no sign of nervousness when working – she is though a highly reliable »working machine« with a character that wins your affection.
